ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about August 17, 1947, from the State of Oklahoma into the State of Louisiana. LABEL IN PART : "American Beauty Butter Packed for L. Frank and Co." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (1), a valuable constituent, milk fat, had been in part omitted from the product; and, Section 402 (b) (2), a product containing less than 80 percent by weight of milk fat had been substituted for butter. DISPOSITION: April 8, 1948. A plea of nolo contendere having been entered on behalf of the defendant, a fine of $50 was imposed.
