ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about January 26, 1946, from Yakima, Wash. PRODUCT: 660 44-pound bags of evaporated pear chops at Louisville, Ky, in possession of the Goodwin Preserving Co. The product was stored under in- sanitary conditions after shipment. The bags were torn, and rodent pellets were observed on and in the bags. Examination showed that the product contained rodent pellets, rodent hairs, and insects. whole or in part of a filthy substance; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : October 2, 1946. No claimant having appeared, judgment of con- demnation was entered and the product was ordered delivered to a charitable institution, for use as animal feed.
