My dear Dr. Kelb;-

You may rest assured I shall not use your letter but
shall view it as one those confidential communications that are between

friends. It would indeed be a pity if one could not write to a friend
freely as you have done. -I see Dre MeCoys' point ef view and possibly
he is right in this. I de know that you are with the group of men

who hate misrepresentation of arl of these narcotic matters. In the same
confidence as you wrote me I have heard that Lambert has sunk some sum a
trifle over $ 150,000 in this remedy and has either bought it or spent this
amount of money in bringing it out. I have ne fault to find with
Lambert as man for he is a charming and square man but he has not been the
ethical physician one would expect after holding the exalted position he

has with the A. Me. A. Again he seems cracked over narcetic matters ,.ew

it comes to matters narcotical.

I imow all about Horevitz connection with Mer
as they have ceresponded with me abeut his claims ever a year Ages.
You have no idea hew weary I become at times ever the entire question of
nercotics, the misrepresentations of Hobson, White Cress Attempts to get
money, Terry and his axe to grind and then again the awtequated Harrison
law and its enfercement as against the sane attempts Ao present the entire
subject rationally as you have tried to de and such(Dr. S. Dana Hubbard
ef the New York City Health Department and Dr. Oscar Dewling ef Louisiana.
I might add another splendid man and that is Senator Sanbern Young of Cal.

Its all right to say truth will prevail, as it undeubt-
edly will but I am getting as others elder and hate te see things smashed
te smithereens with such presentation as was made in Europe at the Geneva
Opium Conference as an example.

Well I am not going to. bother you with these things but
