A series of 7 wall-tables giving the title, date of publication and number of volumns of the medical periodicals which were published throughout the world in the year 1799. The series comprise 59 periodicals, which were published as follows: America, 2 Great Britain, 10 Germany, 30 France, 9 Scandinavia, 4 Holland, 2 Italy, 2 II. Three wall-tables giving a list of the text-books which were employed in the various branches of medicine in the year 1799 (a) English and German text-books. (A red + before the author’s name indicates that the work had been published in America in or previous to the year 1799. (b) Text-books used in Germany. (c) Text-books used in France. Under each of these tables will be grouped the text-books mentioned in them, which were kindly loaned by the Surgeon General’s Library. III.
