By direction of the War Department, Section 1 of General Orders, No. 
71. Headquarters of the Army, Adjutant General's Office, Washington, 
October 16, 1869, is corrected to read as follows: 
"I. Every advance of money for transportation made to an officer 
under orders to a distant post will be accounted for by the disbursing 
officer making the advance as a 'transfer,' and he will take credit therefor 
on Abstract ' B b.' "
