A BILL To authorize the removal of the quarantine station from Ship Island, Mississippi. * t Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3 That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized to 4 cause the removal of the national quarantine station now 5 located on Ship Island, in the Gulf of Mexico, to some other 6 island in said Gulf, or in such pass in the Mississippi Delta as 7 may be recommended by a board to be designated by him, 8 and that the necessary quarantine buildings and appliances be 9 established thereon; and that the sum of forty-five thousand 10 dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby 11 appropriated to carry out the purposes of this act. 1887—January 17.—Head twice aud referred to the Com- mittee on Epidemic Diseases.
