My dear Doctor: - Lay Vegas Hot Springs, N* M„, is a village devoted to the restoration of health. It Is more than a hospital, a sanatorium* or both* It is a place for the healthy as well as the sick; for recreation as well as for treatment. It is not a place for incurables, out for enjoyment, rest and recovery. The treatment ■ out of door** is made as .much a feature as the treatment within doors. Las Vegas Hot Springs has an altitude of 8,707 feet: a monthly precipitation, between June and September, of less than one inch; a mean annual temperature of 59c07; an average of 323 days of sunshine annually; and no sand storms * High hills form almost a complete circle around the grounds and buildings, thus protecting us from severe winds* Controlling fin extensive territory, there la freedom from noises and confusion of town and city life, end from dangers of contagion. The Gal1inas river runs through the property. With these unusual natural advantages, it is desired to link together every modern medioal convenience and appliance, so as to best combat such affections as are applicable to this locality. Those sent as patients will receive .individual instruction and direction in'regard to exercise, diet and all that concerns health, Monthly reports will be sent to the family physician, or consultant, who by this means will be kept closely in , contact with his patient, The buildings are ample, with steam heat and electric lights, and the grounds are sufficient, for recreation and amusement of every description* The wat era of our hot natural springs, the saline, sulphur and, lithife elements predominating ranging from a temperature of 110 to almost boiling, flow into the bath house, natatorium and main resident building with ahsippi no loss of temperature, and are utilised in the treatment of diseases which will suggest themselves„ The peat from our peat bads in applied in the shape of batty* in- treating • diseases for which it ir. useful. , Our prices are moderate. Physicians who desire recreation or tremt&pnt will be received without medical charge. Tubercular cases, advanced in the third stage, are not desirable.
