Army, having applied to be retired from active duty, after more 
than forty years' active service, the President of the United States 
directs that his name be placed upon the list of retired officers, ac- 
cordingly. 
II...By direction of the President, Colonel T. P. Andrews will 
be continued on the duties to which he was assigned in Special 
Orders, No. 887, Paragraph No. 18, from this Office, as senior of 
the Central Board of Examination of Paymasters, and as Inspect- 
ing Officer of the Pay Department.
