WAR DEPARTMENT, Adjutant General’s Office, Washington, April 25, 1863. 1.. 0n the recommendation of the Commissary General of Subsist- ence, an extra issue of Adamantine Candles will he allowed for the use of officers of the Adjutant General’s Department, and Regimental Adjutants, when serving in the field, on the order of the Commanding Officer, at the following rates per month: To the Headquarters of a Regiment or Brigade, ten pounds. To the Headquarters of a Division, twenty pounds. To the Headquarters of a Corps, thirty pounds. To the Headquarters of each separate army, when composed of more than one corps, forty pounds. 11.. When transportation has been furnished under General Orders, No. 121, of 1862, the accounts therefor will be settled, no matter whether the mode of transportation be by railroad, steamboat, stage, wagon, or otherwise.
