The undersigned, in common with many others, believ- ing that honor is due to the memory of the late Dr. William T. G. Morton, for his services in introducing to the world the inestimable discovery of anaesthetic inhalation, desire to erect a simple monument over his remains at Mount Auburn, and also to make some* provision for his surviving family.
