March 18, 1936 Dear Doctor Cannon: Let me at knowledge with thanks your letter regarding correspondence with de Kruif and Draper. It seems very clearly a case of a field obviously needing exploration and particularly exploration which may prove convincing and thorough. It is not a subject on which it is easy to come to a decision, and I am consequently more obliged to you for your kindness in furnishing me with further information and opinion in connection with it. To answer the last item in your letter I am very sure that if you would like to keep Mr. Rockefeller's letter regarding the grant made to your investigative work I should be very glad to have you do so. With best regards, Yours sincerely, Alan Gregg
