Oct 19, 1983 Dear Dr. Swan: It was 29 years ago today you gave me a new lease on life. The years have flown by and for the most part have been very good years. As you know I now have a pacemaker, but get along very well. I retired from my job last Oct. I've really enjoy the past year with no pressures or dead lines, just doing what I want to do. I spent a lot of time with my grandchildren (5 of them). I volunteer one day a week at the hospital, and travel chance I get. I talked with Dr. Richter tonite. He is [END PAGE ONE] [BEGIN PAGE TWO] well and sends his regards. I didn't hear from you last year after I wrote, but hope you are well and will have time to write this year. Please say hello to Dr. Blount for me. I remember you both so well and so fondly. With kindest regards, Clarabell Pressley
