Dear Dr. Swan:
So, now it is 30 years, how quickly the time has passed. I know Dr. Oliver has written about my bypass surgery. The last six months have been the worst I've ever known. I always said I would never have bypass surgery but after 2 emergency angioplasties in 7 weeks I didn't have any choice. The pain before the angioplasty and after the surgery was really bad. The good news is I'm now feeling great. I tire easily and rest after, but no longer have any pain. In the past year I have lost 35 pounds and lowered my cholesterol from 286 to 150 triglyciderides: 96U to 19U. I now eat right, exercise and with the surgery, feel like a new person.
I talked with Dr. Richter Monday and we are having lunch together today. He is doing fine and I look forwarding to seeing him. We

talk on phone several times a year but I haven't seen him in 2 or 3 years.
