In the war on drugs, one of the subjects that kept coming up for attention was the feasibility, the ethics, and the legality of spot-testing workers at the worksite for the presence of drugs in their bodies. Current scientific evidence demonstrated that modern drug-testing technology and procedures were accurate and reliable. False positives are essentially eliminated. This lecture is included in the archive because it gives an inisght how the Surgeon General and the Public Health Service felt about the issue of drug-testing at the worksite, as of 1990.
