December 30, 1982 Dear Chick: I just wanted to report on your workshop "Children with Handicaps and Their Families." I thought that this was a very enlightening and interesting workshop. I was aware that there are many inadequacies in the way that we do things with these families, but never to the extent of what the two parents had suffered that were in my panel (group #6, orange panel). I was sorry that I had to leave just as they were starting to present the recommendations to you, but I'm sure that it will be given to us in the mail as I'd like to see what the other panels came up with. I was very happy to participate in this workshop. As you probably know, I was taking Dr. Albert Gunn's place, that the Committee had invited, because he could not come. I'm looking forward very much to seeing you in Houston in February and hope that you and your family have a happy holiday. Sincerely, Benjy F. Brooks, M.D.
