Lecture Volume 9 #4 June 3, 1986 cover Talking points on Aging By C. Everett Koop, MD, ScD Surgeon General U.S Public Health Service U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Suggested Talking Points National Council on the Aging, Inc. June 3, 1986 This speech is short enough to be read quickly and have an impact without an index. If you're ever asked to give a talk on Aging, these talking points should be included, among hundreds of other things, as some of the items you should cover. It really is a treasure trove concerning aspects of aging, which at the time this talk was given were uppermost in the minds of the National Council on the Aging, Inc., the group to which I was speaking, the Administration on Aging, and ever so many private not-for-profit non-governmental organizations. The speech itself is practically an index. Three pages taken from the center of this speech randomly included 23 index words. For this reason, no formal index is provided. This set of talking points would be valuable to review to anyone reading other lectures or speeches in this archive on the subject of Aging.
