April 13, 1964 Dear Clarence: I am working on the Second Edition of the program for the Failing Heart Conference. The answers all indicate that everyone wants in on the act and thinks he invented hearts! In going over your letter I find your suggestions include many names of people who originally wrote about this problem. Your suggestions are that they present the material that they did years ago. I think this is not a historical conference but should be limited to more current work. I will be sending you the corrected proposed agenda along later but I want you to evaluate it in this light. I will see you in Montreal if not sooner. Best regards. Sincerely, Ben Eiseman, M.D. Professor and Chairman
