Re : Meeting of the Scientific and Academic Advisory Committee Me

of the Board of Governors

 

As you were already notified we intend to continue the procedure adopted
last year - which everyone concerned thought was very useful - and
have a meeting of the Scientific and Academic Advisory Committee
precede the meeting of the Board of Governors.

We have earmarked Monday and Tuesday, November 12 and 13,1973
for this purpose but will, of course, be very glad if as many of you as
possible could arrive here even earlier, a
The way I envisage the two-day session is as follows : the first day and

a half will be devoted to visits to the various departments and laboratories
- each of us in his field. The last half day should be set aside for an
executive session at which we would summarize our findings and
recommendations and prepare statements to be made at the meeting

of the Board of Governors,

I hope this scheme meets with your approval, but Iam certainly open to
suggestions and hope to be hearing your reaction very soon,
