and quite needlessly a little defensive), and I will communicate directly
with witkamp. .

Al, a quite different subject. Can you recall your first use of the
idea of the "technological fix" in print? I ran into this myself,I
belicve quite independently (but who knows?) in thinking about artificial
organs and hetero-spefific transplants as a way to evade the impossible
problems of organ supply from man. Taat was presented at the CIBA symp.
in 1962,
