Dear Josh:

You may be interested to know that Lippincott agreed to delete from
future printings the sentence that misquotes me as advocating human cloning.
Their excuse was that Rorvik had not seen my paper but had picked up this
citation from the book by Howard and Rifkin! With the help of a lawyer I
got them to send out a notice about the change to all those who had been sent
review copies a few days earlier.

I had thought of sending this information to the other scientists who
are cited in the book, but then decided it is too much trouble, Feel free to
pass the word along wherever you think it might be useful.

I am enclosing a review that I've written, and another couple of items.
