Dear Josh,

You will remember that I mentioned to you
Jennifer Dee, who is the author of the note on the
mating-types in a myxomycete, which you had already
seen in 'Nature'. I enclose herewith details
about her, and a summary of her work. She has
completed her postgraduate training and she is in the
process of writing a thesis for the Ph. Day The
enclosed notes are essentially a summary Wwe should
be free by the end of this year, and if you feel like
having her to go on in this field I think it would be
a very good thing for her, and perhaps it would help
your group with the spadework in this field. She
has definitely got to the point where large-scale
genetic analysis is possible, and its connection with
problems of differentiation in this particular type
of organism is obvious.
