Your recent Christmas was received and appreciated, “e hope that you enjoyed
yourselves in Stockholm. The photographs of J. in tux looked good, are we
to see more of this ?

On your card you mention that you may be travelling this way early in January,
Is this by car ? If you should feel the desire to stop with us, whether you
are travelling by car or otherwise, you have an open invitation to, ewen if
only over night. Ye no longer live at 2410 Poplar( my brother's house) but have
a place of our own, 254 So. Jasmine St., Denver 22. We HXEK have the same

phone as before, EAst-2-0668. Here at the Medical Center the phone is Dldley
8-4511, Ext. 391. We do hope that you will stop if it fits with your plans.

We received a card from Cavalli at Christmas with the invitation to come to
Milan. I think that we will now plen on some trip overseas, Not this year, but
in a year or so. In this we will include Milan, of course. I hope that you
will advise us on your return of the perils and pleasures of Milano. When
Rountree stopped here we had a pleasant 4 hours discussion. She also suggested
a trip to Australia via Fulbright. You might refresh me on your experiences
there.

I know that this may come as a shock to you, but I have been wprking again on
lambda transduction. I have portions of a draft of some of the material and I
plan to send you some preliminary manuscript in a week or two. This will include
some old data and also some of the newer. The general area will be production

of lambda, UV induction, spontaneous lambda, attempts to isolate spontaenous
heterogenotes, homogenotes, other UV studies, etc. After a lay off, and rereading
our epics I find the problem interesting again and many things still to be done.

IT have AXKK just completed a_MS describing the staph system. This contains &

a@ comparsion of vhage from st, N’ and S , N-, linearity with phage, phenotypic
delay description, no linkage found, and a description of negative results in
seual crossing experiments. I am thinking of having this submitted to PNAS.
Would you be interested in doing this, assuming that you approve? If this ceates
a problem for you at a time when you are involved in moving I can get Gamov

in Boulder to forward it. I would perfer that you do it, however.
