Dear Dr. Lederberg:

Although it may not be possible for you to come to the testimonial dinner
for Dr. Muller, I thought you would be interested in the plans for this celebration
in case you can make the arrangements to be there.

The testimonial dinner will be held on Wednesday evening, December 28, 1960,
at 6:30 PM. The second floor dining room of the Men's Faculty Club at Columbi2
University has been reserved. This is located on 117th Street and Morningside
Drive. Cost for the dinner is $3.CO per person. Cocktails can also be requested
at $0.75 each.

The program for the dinner includes a portrait by Mrs. Seymour Fogel and a
token gift from individual donations, mostly by those who cannot attend the dinner

but who wish to make some contribution toward its success.

Muller's editing of his major papers is progressing and he is quite pleased
to have this chance to bring them together into a single volume,

If you can attend this occasion, please mail your check for the dinner and
cocktails (if desired) to me at your convenience.

Since so many of Dr. Muller's friends and colleagues who cannot come wish to
send messages to him, I've included the time and address for this meeting.
