Dear Josh:

The AEC has awarded me a postdoctoral fellowship.
However, the avard was made in accordance with my
original NRC application. It appears that the

AEG award was based upon the recommendation of the
NRC, for it was made before the AEC received my
letter of April 10th informing them of my intention
to work with you. The AEC Fellowship Board will
decide shortly if I am to be permitted to use the
award for an investigation in bacterial genetics.
If they do not aporove my ammended research vlan

I shall have to refuse the fellowship and wait
until I hear Brom the PHS, the last fellowship
opportunity. As soon as I hear from Oak Ridge

I shall inform you post haste.
