A project site visit from the National Institute
of Health, in connection with enclosed copy of an
application to support outlined research, is scheduled
for April 25th. Enclosure is intended for your inform-
ation and record.

I am trying to get as many members of the advisory
committee and consultants to join me and project site
visitors for a luncheon during which variable opinions
will be exchanged. I just learned about your trip to
Japan, and regret that there will not be any chance for
me to have the benefit of your advice just before or
during project site visit. I do know, however, that
you will be asked an opinion about my project and since
it all stemmed from your ideas, I hope that my own
elaborations have not introduced any seriously undes-—
irable deviations from the genetic concept of the
problems under investigation. Needless to say, I shall
be eagerly awaiting your pertinent comments.
