“hank you very much for your letter of October 26. I am including two
more conies of our bibliographies, also containing our varents’names and the
exact cates of birth. I have asked the Consul about separate or single appli-
cations and he says that Eva needs a separate visa for temporary enployment
if she is going to work which she cannot do on my visa.

Your arguments about terminology have quite convinced me and I shall
chanse the text of the review accordingly, or perhaps include a short dis-
cussion on terminology, giving preference to nucleic and epinucleic. I think
it nay be a good idea of discussing the confusion in Rous’paper and empha-
size the difference between nucleic and nuclear, If you get any other sugzes-
tions from any physicists or engineers, however, I would certainly appreciate
it if you would give me an opportunity to inelude them in the discussion if
you think they are useful. :

Iwas glad that you were pleased with this year’s prize, I gnite agree
with your point about the specification of the contribution, but tis had the
usual statutory and psychological reasons, Personally, I feel that it is a
good and strong prize which the Institute can be proud of.

thank you very much for your very helpful suggestions about steroids
that may be useful in the methylcholanthrene work. I shall read the review
of “ried and Borman with attention. Presently we are busy with the exreri-
ments you suggested about the avplving meth:lcholanthrene topically before
putting in a small inoculum. I shedl@ certainly let you know about the re-~
sults. Meanwhile, here is another preliminary report about some findings with
polzroma tumors on which I should certainly appreciate any comments that you
may neve. A sore detailed report ~ill be coming soon.
