Many thanks for your letter, We have made reservations for you at
the Palace Hotel which is within walking distance from the institute. It
is more modern than the Grand and less sumptuous. Please let us know the
exact time of your arrival. Unfortynately, I have an unavoidable committ-
ment at a faculty dinner during the evening of May 27 but Eva and Dr.

c— Révés2 will meet you at the airport. I hope to join you later. We have

We seem to be singularly unsuccessful in our attempts to get a
visiting professor in Microbial Genetics. Unfortunately, this will be
more or less a test case for this sort of arrangement and we are very
anxious to be able to follow up our plans. I should appreciate it very
much if we could discuss this seriously.
