Dear George:

} was pleased from your letter of the second to see that you ere going ahead
smoothly with Zinder. That should be a very Interesting occasion.

{'m sorry that my picture for Professor Ciljestrand is not satisfactory and
just at the moment I don't have a more suitable one. However, a University photo-
grapher has been pressing me to pose for him and this requirement furnishes enough
justification to go ahead. { will send on a print as soon as convenient but this
may be some brief time yet.

As t was afraid you might, you have neglected one of your serious obligations,
namely to send me the bill for the postcards, etc. | have made my own estimate of
this and am enclosing a check which | hope will at least nearly cover it. Please
be sure to tell me how much more is needed. If it should happen to be too much,
please just hold the balance for me until our return. We are iooking forward to
next spring but more than anything else to getting over with the immediate prob! ems
of packing up and moving.
