Dear Herman:
Thank you for the news in your letter of the 10th. We are anxious to have every word about the Gal mutants.
If you have a tangible indication of a partial reversion in the Gal3 mutant, it would be highly desirable to check it for its genetic properties. If the enzyme responses continue to support that idea, perhaps you ought to bring the strains to Madison. If there is time, we might even do some genetic experiments together. I will pass on your message to Lardy.
Gopal visited Madison last week and I understand he plans to return to Washington this coming week-end. I gathered he would be staying over with you again and he will probably call you up when he arrives.
