response to a preprint of my "Immunological Speculations". In
fact, this letter encouraged me to leave Geneva and to step back

into the laboratory which I did last October when the University
of Pittsburgh offered me a position,

I have now developed a new technique for recognizing
individual antibody-forming cells which I hope will be useful
for many purposes, perhaps particularly for getting at the
events leading to the primary response. I attach a description
of this technique which I thought might interest you.
