Dear Josh,

I have recently heard that Marko Zalokar is
looking for a position, and it occurred to me that
he might fit into your organization, since his interests
certainly run along the lines of comparative bio-
chemistry. He is a very original person, as you may
know. He is presently at La Jolla in the Biology
Department, in case you want to reach him. Sterling
#merson knows him well and would, I am sure, be
glad to write you a letter about him. I don't know
why Dave Bonner does not want to keep Marko at La
Jolla, but I suspect a clash of personalities.

You may be interested in the enclosure. As
Eliot has no doubt told you, the Russians did not

show up at the biology session of the Warsaw meeting.
I thought it was a fiasco.
