Thank you very much for your very nice and very interesting letter which was received while I was on a visit in the USA.  I am very glad to have all the information you gave me.  I am referring to the information concerning recombination, and transduction, not to that concerning "my job in Texas."  The latter is most curious too, but -- at least -- premature.
