Dear Josh,
Greetings from us all in Brisbane!  I hope this letter finds you at home, and not away on vacation somewhere.
At the moment I am planning to take my sabbatical [sic] leave in 1963, so I thought I would write and ask your advice about places to go.  In recent years I have become very interested in basic aspects of immunology and antibody production.  Would you have any vacancies in your laboratory for 12 months from January, 1963, for somebody to work in this or related fields?  If not, perhaps you could recommend somewhere else.  It is hard to know from this distance, and from published papers alone, where one could spend a profitable yet congenial year.  I have in mind people like D.H. Campbell, D.W. Talmage, and T.N. Harris, and did write to Dr. Campbell at Caltech last month, but he has not yet replied.
