to my previous list of engagements
please add that Sol Spiegelman will be here on
October 30 and 31 for a visit.

T had a letter from Di Girolamo who
is at present in Newcastle on Tyne 1 - Dept. of
Chemistry -— King's College - telling me that he
is a little sceptical about his results on an in-
creased metabolism accompanying mating, because of
a difference in the physiological conditions of
the cells which he crossed (F- was stationary and
F+ was logarithm).

IT have asked him to write you a short
summary of his results and let you know whether he
is going to continue the work or not. He will be
working with Gorini starting next month.
