Dear Josh and Esther, we are taking a three week holiday with the family in the new house.  Everything [sic] fine including the weather, but Violetta has a staph infection which is somewhat troublesome.  With Aug 24 will start work again.  Tempo Medico has sent you (and to me also) the Milan interview.  There are a few inexactitudes, but none of them serious and on the whole I think they made a good job.  The committee for examining candidates to the genetics chair has been named.  Geneticists have not obtained a majority, as I feared.  Yiovanni's and Ruggero's chances seem pretty dim, I hope my own have not deteriorated too much.  It is very uncomfortable.  All the best from Alba, the children and myself.
