Dear Joshua,

I have sent you a tape a few days ago, but in order
to avoid further delays in mailing it, I decided not to go
through it again before sending it and there may be a possi-
bility, however small, that it is blank or not very clear in
some parts. Therefore, I want to confirm a few of the most
urgent points so as not to leave any doubts on them.

It will be alright for you to carry out your programme
as outlined in your letter of November 7th regarding your flight
to Milan on December 14 to 17. It will be best to go together
to the Riviera Ligure, but we need not make detailed plans now.

As regards your coming here next year, we thou ght
that, as you will leave from California rather than Wisconsin,
we should allot g. 2,000 for the return trip for you and Esther +
plus #. 500 a month for your stay here, to you or Esther.

If you think you can get any portio of the fare from
other sources, so much the better, put it is very likely that
Montalenté will only want to pay your fare from Milan to Naples.

I will of course promise that no public appearances
will take place and will be looking forward to seeing you again.
