First day of holiday.  It is always pleasant to rediscover that Italy is one of the prettiest countries of the world.  The main disadvantage is that, as you will you see from the signatures, it looks very much like being in the lab.  Sofar [sic], however, we have had no difficulty in talking anything but shop.  I wonder how long it will last, as we are supposed to spend ten days here together.  All the best
