shed the letter I started yesterday. You do not need to worry
about the Microbiology Congress, becuuse = have not heard any-
thing about it from Chain and it is quite noss‘ble that you were
m-ant to be the only speaker in tne Symposium,on genetical pro-
blems of drug-resistance. I suggest therefore that you write te—
rectly to Chain - the delay should not be important - accepting

thé task. .
Z would certuinly accept to read your paper - but 7 hope there

will be no need of it.
