Dear Jerry:

Your letter was waiting here when we returned from our vacation.

i am afraid that NPG is not exactly in ample supply. I could let
you have, say, 50 mg. for research purposes to find out whether it
would be worth the trouble of making mors, but it is too scare to
be recommended for course use. Ono could set up a demonatration exp't
with no more than 5-10 mg., but if the point is mainly to exhibit
a chromogenic substrate why nob use phenolpthalein phosphats, which
is commercially available for phosphatase assay.
