If Manuscripts Department, Lilly Library Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana I am writing in order to find out whether you know of any position suitable for an Italian girl, a zoologist, who got an M.S. degree at Smith College in 1941, then started working toward a Ph.D. at Harvard, and had to suspend a few months ago because of economic conditions. If you happen to know or hear of any instructorship in Some college or universtty, please let me Know. Sonneborn mss. I am myself working a little disorderiy, due to the uncertitude of the future. I have not yet heard about my appointment #0r next year; however, I think this is due to Cleland'ts disease. In spare time, I am reading more about evolution and natural selection, and improving my very weak biological background. I gave the article on bacteri&l mutations to Rhoades for Genetics. McClung has a copy of it, and if you have time to take a look at it I shall be very pleased to know # your criticisms. I hope it is not as hot in Bloomington as it is here.
