Dear Josh,
I am so sad about Szilard's illness, I could cry. Your guess of what he would want is correct. He has moved to the St. Moritz Hotel where he is writing up his antibody paper and some others. He wants to waste no time on tears or ceremony although he doesn't enjoy the situation.
I talked with him the other day. I am going east to see him in January, although he suggested I not bother.
Regarding Ted's suggestion: Anything would be great so long as it did not take any of his time of energies.
