Dear Lederboerg,

Iam very grateful for your letter of December 16th, and I
do appreciate the invitation which you have extended to me. My
schedule for the next few months is so unsettled and in addition
it will remain subject to sudden changes and therefore I am not
able to accept your invitation.

However, when I am back in 6hicago for an extended period
of time I might call you and maybe come up for a day or two and
talk with you and a few others informally about topics of mutual
interest. In the meantime, if you come to Chicago or New York
please give me a call as I would like to discuss with you a gort
of “project that I have been discussing with several others. -
Novick will know where you can reach me.

Please convey to the other members of tho Lectureship
Committee my regret for not being able to come during this
academic year.
