Dear Joshua--
I have to go up to [ . . . ] on family affairs, and will accordingly plan to visit Madison en route from Seattle.  Tentatively, I will get to Portage, [ . . . ] on the Hiawatha at 10:50 AM on Tues Jan. 30.  I take it that there is a good bus service from there to Madison.  How about scheduling the seminar for the next day?  The title would be "The bacterial oxidation of tryptophian: a comparative study".
Please let me know as soon as possible if this is O.K.  Mike has some data on the coli mutants that I want to tell you about, so remind me.
