Dear Joshua,

We sent off the requested parahydroxybenzoic acid and mandelic acid the
other day, I hope that it arrives safely,

I am sorry now that I wrote about the possibility of visiting Madison,
because when I actually got around to figuring out my travel schedule it
appeared that I couldn't possibly fit it in to the time allotted, Our new
course on advanced microbiology is taking a tremendous amount of our time and
I have to get back to Berkeley, if possible, on Sunday evening in order to
be sure that everything is going to go according to Hoyle for the following
week, So I am afraid that I'll have to beg off on this,
