Under separate cover I am mailing you the
two cultures we have used in our work on "Variation
in Pigment Production in Staphylococcus aureus",

@ Sterility tests were carried out on the final
extract and mention of the fact should have been
made in the published paper. Serum was not tried
and we do not have any information as to its
effect.

I might add that we are now extending on
the same project and a report will be sent to you
at a later date. This, of course, should have no
effect on your desire to confirm our work. In
fact, we welcome your desire to duplicate our
work,
