Dear Joshua:

Enclosed is the translation. My Russian is so
rusty that I am not in a good position to criticize the
language, but I couldn't help feeling that Mr. Lebedev'ts
style was practically as unpleasant as his genetics.

What would you think of sending the last
paragraph to Science, with very little explanatory
comment? I would be glad to do it and it might be
easier for me to make the comments about your work
which would be necessary in order to refute the last

sentence.
