[have learned from my former teacher, Prof, Dr. Natth Bhamarapravati, President
Emeritus of Mahidol University and Chairman of the Prince Mahidol Award Committce,

that you will

be attending the forthcoming Annual Meeting of the Prince Mahidol Award

Committee in Bangkok during the week of November 14-18, In the same period, we are
also organizing the 10th International Neuroscience Symposium on "Prospects of
Neuroscience in Thailand and South-East Asia in the Decade of the Brain and the 21st
Century" in the Salaya Campus of Mahidol University . The event is a part of the

f the 10th Anniversary of the Neuro-Behavioural Biology Center at Mahido!

University which was established by the initiative ideas of Prof. Natth. The Symposium is

also organiz

ed through the collaboration of the Thai Neuroscience Society and the

f Indian Physiological Societies. The topic on Wednesday 16th morning

session will be devoted to impact of global nutrition on the developing brain. By a happy
coincidence, I have also learned from Prof. Natth that he has planned to invite the group of
Commiittees to our campus in Salaya, and he has also suggested that it may be possible to
organize a symposium around this important issue. Prof. Natth and Prof. Kraisid
Tontisirin, Director of the Nutritional Research Institute have also accepted to co-chair the
session, We will also invite staff and students from all faculties and institutes to attend this
jmportant symposium.

I would be very grateful if you will kindly accept our invitation to participate in
this symposium, and to deliver a talk or discussion and commentary. 1 would very much
