proposed research program

I have now completed a draft of a description of Rand’s
projected involvement in AI in Medicine. It consists of three
Sections. The first is a brief description of relevant Rand
personnel; the second is an overview of past achievements,
present concerns, and future directions; and the final section
contains an overview of the research program scope and
orientation, A sampling of relevant publications is contained in
the appendix. It is readily apparent that Miller’s proposed work
can stand on the more substantial and relevant platform
described. Of course, Miller’s is the first actual proposal, but
I think it should be viewed in the context of Rand’s. broader
goals,

I would be very interested in developing a significant
relationship with the SUMEX~AIM project and community. This draft
description should be a start. Will you please let me know what I
should do next? In specific, is it possible to move ahead on Jim
Miller ’s request in parallel?
