Dear John:

You were kind enough to invite me to contribute
to "LEADERS" on the theme "The Convergence of Infor-
mation Sciences and Biological Sciences".

Unfortunately, I have been in a particular time
crunch this month and will shortly be leaving for
several weeks so there is no way that I can meet
your deadline. I do however enclose something that
I wrote on an almost identical theme not long ago.
If there is any way that you can make use of it, in
whole or in excerpt, I'm sure there will be no prob-
lem about permissions.
