Enclosed please find a "final preliminary" list of
US and Soviet participants to pepe Byurakan conference
on Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CETI).
In addition we are hopeful that three United Kingdom par-
ticipants, Francis Crick, Fred Hoyle and Christopher
Longuet-Higgins will attend. A highly preliminary agenda
and a highly provisional list of chairme sn and discussion
initiators is enclosed. The discussions are intended to
be largely informal and the role of the discussion initia-
tors is merely to start the discussicn rolling. I believe
that visa information will be coming to you very shortly
from the National Academy of Sciences, and that our Soviet
colleagues will make great efforts te facilitate travel
arrangements within the USSR. I will ce at this address
until the last week in August, if there are any problems
